When you can apply for a loan with unemployment

To the question’ can you apply for a loan with unemployment’ you could answer that all in all asking does not cost anything, the problem is obtaining. And indeed for people who have lost their jobs and receive the unemployment benefit allowance, it is not at all easy to access a loan, given that credit institutions demand (rightly from their point of view) income guarantees that an unemployed person in general can’t give. But not all hopes are lost.

Requesting a loan with unemployment, and above all obtaining it, is not easy but it is not impossible. Loans for unemployed people are still payable if the person concerned can present guarantees other than the normal paycheck. The most classic is represented by a guarantor in the flesh, usually a close relative, who, in fact,’guarantees’ the repayment of the loan, committing himself to take over the debtor in case of need. Obviously a guarantor to be accepted as such must demonstrate a solid income and a good financial reputation. In the absence of such a figure, the chances of obtaining a loan from the unemployed taper off but do not disappear altogether.

In fact, the applicant can play the card of any property owned using a mortgage loan, with all the risks involved. Or, if the property has been leased to a third party, it can present the monthly rent it receives as a guarantee. Other possibilities, not always advisable, are pledged credit and loan changes.

Finally, there is an opportunity that not everyone knows but that for the unemployed represents perhaps the simplest way to obtain good cash liquidity without presenting any guarantee. We refer to the anticipated Wenr, or the possibility of receiving the entire unemployment benefit in a single solution, instead of monthly. Obviously this is not a real loan, but we are close to it.

The anticipated Wenr is granted on request to the dismissed workers starting from 1 May 2015, and beneficiaries of the unemployment benefit, who intend to start a self-employment activity or an individual company, or subscribe a share of the share capital of a cooperative, or develop full-time and autonomously the activity already started during the employment relationship. In case of acceptance of the application (which must be presented with appropriate documentation stating the start of the independent activity) the amount of the Wenr due and not yet received is paid in a single installment, net of the income tax deduction.
